Pitt Street Bridge

Trent often takes the kids to Pitt Street Bridge and they search in the marsh for seashells and shark teeth.  While they do this I workout or take a nap or read and they return home with treasures for me.  I love it!

ChErYlEeSki's Irish Visit

My cousin Cheryl came down from Massachusetts for a weekend visit to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  The first evening she was here we ran the Catch the Leprechaun 5K Race with another Newburyporter in the area, Sara Backland.  Together we helped drain the kegs at an alarming pace.
On St. Patrick's Day we loaded up the new mini van with the kids (along with some "roadies") and headed to Dunleavy's Pub on Sullivan's Island.  In hindsight this wasn't my greatest motherhood decision.
It was a block party and by the time we got there it was too rowdy for kids (fights breaking out, chics crying and a guy passed out on the sidewalk) so we only stayed long enough to chug a few beers and witness some shenanigans that although funny to us was frightening to my children.
It wouldn't be a proper visit without introducing Cheryl to an underground Filipino Karaoke party where we battled with the best.  It was a quick and fun little visit that left me thirsty to visit Cheryl in August for more silliness.  Fire up that Fry Daddy cuz I'm coming home!

Love Notes

I found this note in Currier's backpack.  I want to know who this Grace whore is?!

Creative Works by Currier

Currier created this masterpiece.  I will translate: The pilot of the plane is checking out the sunbather and saying, "Hi aren't you beautiful!" And the sunbather is saying, "Ha, your airplane is on fire!"

Chore Charts

I created these chore charts for the kids and pay them a dime per chore.  I'm going broke but shit is getting done.  Boom!

Walking Pnemonia

Covered in rashes and complaining of dizziness, I took Currier to the doctor's on Monday.  The doctor said his immediate diagnosis was Fifth Disease until he listened to Currier's lungs.  Dr. Davis said, "You have a very sick little boy here!  This child has walking pneumonia."  I felt like a shitty mother considering Currier's been complaining of feeling dizzy for over a week and was even sent home from school one day last week because his coloring was off and he was lethargic.  Well, he's home now and out of school for the week on antibiotics, sipping ginger ale, playing video games and watching movies.
