Flight Attendant Reunion

I had lunch yesterday with a friend that I haven't seen in 15 years.  Holly and I were flight attendants together based out of the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky airport.  She lived in the crash pad upstairs from me and in addition to becoming great friends, we also loved to play pranks on each other.  One time driving home from a bar I saw an old toilet on the side of the road and decided it would look better in the middle of her bedroom and one time after returning from a 5 day trip I found my car covered in artwork pledging my love of midgets.

Holly is still a flight attendant but now she's a big shot that works corporate where she coffee and teas the rich and famous.  She had a little layover here in Charleston and it was so wonderful to spend a few hours catching up face to face after all these years!

Charlie

Charlie, a 600lb gator, and his family have been living on Charleston's Navy Weapons Station since the 1960's.

Today was the closest we've ever seen him come to the fence.

Sweet Rya D

Rya was surprised I gave her my last piece of dark chocolate and I said, "Kid, I'd do anything for you!" And she said, "Really? Will you get rid of Currier?"

Precious Moments

Someone please open a window and let some of this damn love and laughter out! I'm choking on it for Christ's sake!

Our first pool day of the season and Rya D. and I had it all to ourselves.  I love days like this!

Spring Break 2013

For Currier's spring break we did a staycation.  The week was filled with crafts at home, playdates at the park, mornings of sleeping in, ceramics at Kiln Time, lunches at fast food joints, falling asleep on the couch to movies and even an evening at Chuck E Cheese (even though I swore I'd never go back to that torture chamber!).

Although simple and low budget, it turned out to be a wonderful week.

First Sight

It's not uncommon for this to be the first thing I see when I open my eyes in the morning.  I roll my eyes at the sight but I know I'm going to really miss this one day.

Easter 2013

The day before Easter we went to the egg hunt at our community clubhouse and the kids got their picture taken with a creepy bunny who I'm sure drank a fifth of whiskey and smoked a pack of non-filters before this gig.

On Easter morning the kids and dogs (and even the bearded dragon!) woke to baskets filled with lots of goodies.  We also had our own little private egg hunt at our house that the kids LOVED.

The Easter bunny brought Rosy little plastic bearded dragon for her enclosure and she's often caught hugging it.  I never thought I'd be one to say this but I love that retile!
