Easter Egg Hunt

 I volunteered at Rya's preschool this morning for the Easter egg hunt.  It was fun to see her routine in the classroom and then watch all the kids push, shove and shank their way to find plastic eggs filled with candy.

The day before Easter we went to the egg hunt at our community clubhouse and the kids got their picture taken with a creepy bunny who I'm sure drank a fifth of whiskey and smoked a pack of non-filters before this gig.

On Easter morning the kids and dogs (and even the bearded dragon!) woke to baskets filled with lots of goodies.  We also had our own little private egg hunt at our house that the kids LOVED.

The Easter bunny brought Rosy little plastic bearded dragon for her enclosure and she's often caught hugging it.  I never thought I'd be one to say this but I love that retile!

This year the Easter bunny was sober enough to remember to hook the kids up with requested Wii games and lots of little goodies.  

It was a happy Easter!

Egg Hunt

Rya and I went to our community Easter egg hunt and didn't find one damn egg so I said, "Screw this!  Let's go get pedis!" 

And all was right in the world again!

Spring in Charleston

The grass is turning green, the tulips are blooming and the air is getting warm and sticky.  It's spring in Charleston!  We kicked off the first weekend of April by decorating Easter eggs.

And having a picnic lunch on the Isle of Palms.  Although a little breezy, we still walked away fully relaxed and sun kissed.

Easter 2011

Although the Easter Bunny had a raging sinus infection that landed her in the hospital early Easter morning, she still managed to fill Easter baskets for the kids and dogs with lots of goodies!
  

Seeing my kids this happy makes me feel better.  That and antibiotics!  Happy Easter.

Easter Sunday

Easter morning started off with Easter baskets crammed with yummy and fun goodies from the Easter bunny. Currier, Bruco and Paolo all seem pleased with their loot.

After breakfast and showers, we headed to the park across the street for a little Easter egg hunt.

Currier received the sacrament of the Reece's peanut butter cup.

Finally we dyed and painted Easter eggs until Currier knocked over the red dye onto the beige carpet. The rest of the day was spent frantically scrubbing and steam cleaning a big pink mess.
