My Clean Little Secret

I'm coming clean.  I have an illness and this is just a glimpse of it.

I love to clean, label, organize, categorize and alphabetize.

After many years of friends and family urging me to go pro with my talent I am finally taking the plunge.

Whoever Said Money Can't Buy Happiness...

... never bought a puppy or one of these bad boys!  I scored this waterslide/bouncehouse at a yardsale last month and it's the epitome of happiness!  Not only do my kids love it but I've also been renting it out on the weekends for some extra cash.  If you're interested in renting it give me a holler... coleentrent@yahoo.com

I Have Crabs

Our new buddies went away for the weekend and left us the key to their dock so we could man their traps.

Guess what we're having for dinner tonight!

More Massholes in the Lowcounty

We met the coolest people from Boston at the beach over the weekend.  A Fighting Irish tattoo, Red Sox baseball hat and some wicked accents brought us together!  Lauren and Craig just moved from Jamaica Plain to Mount Pleasant and live in the same neighborhood as us.  They also have two children, Colin and Garrett, the same ages as Currier and Rya.  We had them over for dinner and beers tonight and had a blast.   They're a total laugh riot and aren't offended by my foul mouth and crude humor.  After dinner they took us to their crabbing dock and gave us crabs.  Yup, we have new buddies and crabs!

Toy Story 3

Jess and I took the boys to see Toy Story 3 last night.  The boys loved it and we moms love that they make 3D glasses in kid sizes now so that we don't have to keep adjusting throughout the entire movie.  Two thumbs up!

Father's Day 2010

Trent was working in DC all week but quickly finished the job so he could be home for Father's Day.  We spent the day on the Isle of Palms playing in the sand, eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, soaking up the sun and cooling off in the surf.  I had a really rough week without him and it made me appreciate him all the more.  Happy Father's Day, Trent.  You are the best father and husband I know.  We love you.

Cinnamon's 40th

Last night we celebrated Cinnamon's 40th birthday at her home in West Ashley.  Her awesome husband surprised her with a stretch hummer to take her and all her friends downtown to her favorite restaurant, Basil.  Happy birthday, Cinnamon!  I love you stupid amounts.

Dewees Island

Yesterday we took the ferry to Dewees Island for a pool party for Currier's friend Tipton's birthday.  Dewees is a private island off the coast of Charleston where only property owners and their guests have access.  It was gorgeous and the whole experience made me feel very celebrityish.

Reading Rockstars

Rya and Currier were both awarded the South Carolina Reading Award and Medal this morning for completing the 1st phase of the summer reading program at the library.  I'm so proud of my little bookworms.

Boating to Capers Island

Yesterday, Stacey invited us out on her sick boat!  Temps have been in the high 90's so it was the perfect relief from this scorcher.

She took us to Capers Island for the day where we ate lunch, played in the water and sand and didn't leave until we were all sun kissed.  Perfect day with great friends.

Swim Lessons

Currier just completed a week of swim lessons with Ms. Lydia.  He's swimming almost half the length of the pool, he can dive to the bottom to retrieve an object and he totally rocks the cannonball!  I'm so proud.

My Offspring

No doubt about it!

Come On Robin, To The Batcave!

This is the gayest Batmobile I've ever seen!

Alright, I know I have WAY too much time on my hands!  Maybe I need to get a job?  Does anyone need a freelance writer or a pro organizer.  I'm willing to work for beer, sushi or Valium.
