Easter 2013

The day before Easter we went to the egg hunt at our community clubhouse and the kids got their picture taken with a creepy bunny who I'm sure drank a fifth of whiskey and smoked a pack of non-filters before this gig.

On Easter morning the kids and dogs (and even the bearded dragon!) woke to baskets filled with lots of goodies.  We also had our own little private egg hunt at our house that the kids LOVED.

The Easter bunny brought Rosy little plastic bearded dragon for her enclosure and she's often caught hugging it.  I never thought I'd be one to say this but I love that retile!

Show & Tell

Today I brought Rosy into Currier's classroom for show and tell.

Currier stood in front of the class and explained that Rosy will grow up to 24 inches and can live up to 20 years.  He grossed the girls out by telling them that he feeds Rosy live crickets and worms everyday.  All the kids got a turn to hold Rosy and she did very well letting all those little hands pass her back and forth.

After show and tell, I took Rosy to the lunch room and let her experience pure chaos first grade style.

Rosy

Meet Rosy, a 3-month-old bearded dragon and the newest member of our family.  We picked her up today and much to my surprise she's actually pretty sweet and will cuddle up on your chest.

She eats live crickets and worms and lives in a 40 gallon enclosure in Currier's bedroom.  Currier is super excited to finally have his very own pet.
