Faking It
When you tell your mom that your throat hurts, you get to stay home from school and eat popsicles with your little sister. When your mom catches you in a dozen screaming matches and a couple dozen giggling fits, she feels like a real sucker!
Neighbor Gator
Yesterday our neighbor Lisa (Currier's BFF) spotted the first alligator of the season sunbathing on the water's edge by our neighborhood pond and took the kids from our cul-de-sac to go check it out. It's that time of the year to keep Bruco and Paolo on leashes and away from the ponds. Eek!

Albino Alligator
Last night the aquarium opened its doors after hours to members only (we're so VIP) to get a glimpse at the newest member of the South Carolina Aquarium. Less than 50 in the world- an albino alligator! We could have stared at this incredible creature all night. So cool.

Chop Chop
After a morning at the park, I took the kids for haircuts. Rya chose a little bob in hopes to even out her bad home haircut and Currier chose a shorter style so people will stop mistaking him for a girl, or Rocky from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, a mini Hulk Hogan or a blond Beatle.
Currier and Rya
I asked Currier if he wanted Mommy to have another baby and he grimaced at the thought and sadly said, "Oh no Mommy, I don't want to get another baby. I want to keep Rya."

Leprechaun Invasion
This morning we woke to muddy and suspiciously tiny footprints on our patio and through the doggy door leading into our house.
Pink Eye
Rya has pink eye and why not considering we've hosted so many other diseases in our house this season... swine flu, several common colds, horrifying sinus infections, painful strep throat, one double ear infection and a planter's wart... so naturally pink eye showed up just before the end of the winter season. Nice.

Awesome Alligators
Yesterday was all about alligators at the aquarium. Currier is fascinated by alligators so we got up early in the morning to learn all about these cold blooded critters and even got to pet a baby alligator. It was awesome!

Maybe It's Time For a Haircut?
We've had several comments this week regarding Currier's gender that's making me wonder if it's time to cut his hair. At the grocery store Currier kept dropping snacks in the cart and a little old lady looked at Rya sitting in the cart and said, "Is your big sister spending all your mommy's money?" Then on the way out of the grocery store the store clerk grabbed a hold of the cart and said to Currier and Rya, "Come on...Let's go Girls!" When we got in the car, I teased Currier and told him that those people thought he was a girl and he said, "What the...what the...what the HECK!" I asked him if he wanted to go get his hair cut short like daddy's and he said, "No way." What do you think? Should we shave it off come summer or stick to the surfer boy/skater hair style?
Princess on the Potty
This afternoon I noticed the cues and plopped Rya on the potty just in time for her first poop in the potty! A proud moment that set off a dog parade, lots of clapping and high fives. Way to go, Rya!
Disclaimer- I know she's going to kick my ass later for putting her poop face on the internet, but Trent insisted it's funny stuff and so worth an ass kicking! ;)
