Just So You Know

It's not all fun and games around here! Some days Currier is in a perpetual time-out for not listening to me and Rya totally flips out if I put her down for a second! Are there any other moms out there that feel like they spend 90% of their day yelling at their kids and the other 10% dreaming about alcoholic beverages?

Yes. I totally get the 90/10 ratio. Sometimes it's 100% yelling with 100% alcohol fantasizing.

It's not just dreaming. I put it into action. Seriously, I started to cry when I went to the enoteca (within walking distance, a v. good thing) and he was closed. The meat man next door (you know the kind of shop with the hanging rabbits and lambs) asked if I was the american girl that came by all the time? Because the owner left a message for me, he's very sorry he had to close (as in for good!). Ack! Now what?

This morning Charlie and the boys left the house at 10 am and the first thing I thought was that now that they are gone I need a drink. Really. I thought it was a little too early in the day for that, so I ate two Ding-Dongs instead. You know, those chocolate cake rolls? It wasn't quite the same...but not bad!

Oh my yes indeed! And when bedtime comes that evening.... it couldn't be more peaceful but you can't enjoy it as you will quickly fall asleep from the exhaustion of yelling all day....
