Dad

My dad came and spent a week with us.  Several weeks ago he received news that his cancer is back and started another round of chemotherapy right away.  This trip had already been planned so he took a much needed break from the doctors, the hospitals and the drugs and came down to South Carolina to see his grandchildren.

We lounged by the pool a lot, had a seafood lunch on Shem Creek, went to our first Charleston Riverdogs baseball game, spent a whole day at the beach, watched several funny movies, shopped downtown Charleston, celebrated Currier's 4th birthday at a Japanese Steakhouse and heard Rya say "Papa" for the first time.

It was a bittersweet visit.

* A special thank you to my very talented friend,
Ella Gamba for taking these photos!

Coleen,

These pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I can only imagine how meaningful this photo shoot was and what a special place these photos will always have. (The one with you and him in your hats about made me cry.)
You are the BEST daughter!
We're keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers as you navigate through another round of cancer with him.

LOVE you xoxoxo,
