On Mother's Day, we drove to Columbia to have lunch with an old friend. Amanda and I worked together in Germany many years ago. We worked for the Air force slot machine accounting office. Our job was to fill the empty slot machines and also take a weekly inventory on all the nickels and quarters in the machines. It was a very tedious job, but Amanda and I somehow made it ridiculously fun and we laughed a lot together. Amanda now lives in Louisiana with her husband, Brandon, and their two sons, Dillon and Drew. She was in South Carolina for a wedding this weekend and set aside a little time for lunch with an old friend. I'm so glad she did because our boys played so well together while we shared some laughs reminiscing about our time in Germany.

Catching Up With An Old Friend
