24 Hours With Aunt Kathy

Trent's sister Kathy came and spent the night on Sunday. It happened to be an especially warm day so as soon as she arrived, we took a ride to the Isle of Palms for cocktails and appetizers on the beach. We sat on the deck of Coconut Joe's sipping drinks, nibbling on bar food and taking in the smells and sounds of the Atlantic ocean. Currier loved his Aunt Kathy and insisted on calling her "Mimi", which was funny at first but I think after a while it began to give Kathy a complex. She proclaimed, "Listen kid, I'm not your grandmother"!
After relaxing on the deck for awhile, we walked down to the ocean where Currier stripped down to his shorts and threw himself to the mercy of the waves. Watching Currier roll around on the seashore made us wish we had brought our swim suits.
Before heading back to Orlando on Monday, Kathy squeezed in a little snuggle with Currier on the couch. After watching the movie Cars a couple of times, we shopped at Target and met Trent for lunch at Moe's. Kathy promised her next visit will be longer than 24 hours once we're settled in our new home.
